Sterling Silver
What is Sterling Silver?
Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% silver and 7.5% of other metals, usually copper. The 92.5% is why jewellery is often stamped with the numbers 925.
Why does Sterling Silver Oxidise/Tarnish?
Although sterling silver is more durable than pure silver, the additional metals in the alloy make sterling silver more prone to tarnishing.
This happens because the copper, nickel, zinc or other mixtures in sterling silver may react with oxygen and other elements in the air.
How to care for Sterling Silver Jewellery?
It is natural for sterling silver jewellery to tarnish, particularly if the piece is worn regularly. Tarnish can also be caused by other factors which include:

Exposure to moisture, humidity, sunlight and oxygen.

Acidity (ph balance) of a person’s skin, which in turn is affected, for example, by diet, medication and stress.

Exposure to perfume, soap, moisturisersand cosmetics.

Stainless Steel is sometimes called Surgical Steel, with it's hypo-allergenic qualities and a non-reactive surfaces, which makes Stainless Steel a great choice in Jewellery. This is also great for people that have allergic reactions to other metals.
How to care for Stainless Steel Jewellery?
Looking after Stainless Steel is very simple. Due to it's non-reaction to the elements, simply using warm water and mild soap is all the care that is needed.

We use Australia Post for all of our shipping. If you are not home when your package arrives, Australia Post will provide a collect card so you can pick your parcel up from your local post office, at a time that is convenient to you.

Unfortunately, we do not provide a Layby service at this time.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes, we do sell Gift Vouchers. Gift Vouchers can be purchased via our website in amounts of $25, $50, $75 and $100. Following your'e purchase, we will email your numbered Gift Voucher to you, ready to be printed out. Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months, are non-returnable, non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
